While being torn between what she is and what she wants to be Madelene tries to understand the ways of the real, outside world while hiding from the organization that brought her into the world, with her only friend, Hailey, by her side. Madelene is an andriod created by a government organization. Her purpose is unknown to her, only that she is unfinished and made for battle. She was either removed from the facility or escaped herself, which it is she isn't sure. Not long after being freed she ran into Hailey who decided to help her keep away from the government's grasp. Mad, as she is sometimes referred to, can be very naive at times. She was 'born' in a lab and therefore doesn't fully understand the world and rules. She's fallen for Hailey and continuously attempts to get Hailey to act on her feelings.
Hailey is a young woman somewhere around nineteen to twenty-two. She can be quite serious at times and continuously denies that she loves Madelene. She is very nurturing and has taken it upon herself to protect and provide for Madelene.
